Since Southlands is about making much of Jesus, our Youth is about the same.
We believe that our youth don't have to be afraid to face the challenges that come with being a teenager because they know the truth of the gospel! Our Youth leaders take time to build relationships with the students so they can partner with parents in pointing their youth to God. Southlands Youth is not about just “hanging out,” It’s about making disciples of Jesus that live for Him instead of what the world has to offer.

When we meet...

Wednesdays 6:30pm-8:30pm

Youth meets every Wednesday night from 6:30-8:30 pm in the Youth room located in the south portion of the campus. This is for all students in 7th-12th grade. A typical Wednesday night includes time to hang out, play games, worship, a message from one of our youth leaders, and small group time.

Sundays 10:00 am-11:30am

Southlands' gatherings are Sundays at 10am. We want our Youth to know that they are an important part of Southlands Church just as much as the adults.

Fernando & Cary Pelaez

Youth Ministry Leads

Fernando and Cary have three children and have been at Southlands since 2017. They have served as the Youth Ministry Leaders since Southlands' launch.

Russ Conlin

Youth Ministry Assistant

Russ has been attending Southlands since 2019 and started serving in youth a year later. Russ helps give leadership to both junior high and high school boys.

Mimi Pinzon

Youth Ministry Assistant

Mimi has been attending Southlands since 2019 and started serving in youth a year later. Mimi helps give leadership to both junior high and high school girls.

Savannah Monaghan

Youth Ministry Assistant

Savannah has been attending Southlands since 2017 and was part of Southlands youth herself. After graduating, Savannah started serving as a youth leader in 2023 and helps in worship.

Jacob Clark

Youth Ministry Assistant

Jacob has been attending Southlands since 2019 and started in youth. Jacob became a youth leader after graduating and helps give leadership to both junior high and high school boys.
